Classic Beasts is Angela Mullenhour. She lives in Chicago. She plays in a band now called Sybris, but before they became a band she played songs alone with her electric guitar. We met while I was working on No Man's Blues in Chicago. Some friends took me to a little corner bar to play some songs and she was there doing the same. She has a hell of a voice. One of them that can either give you goose bumps or make your skin crawl, depending on what she wants to say. I hope that makes sense and I mean it in the most flattering way.

Anyway, go see Sybris if you're where they are. They've been touring a bunch. And hopefully Angela will get drunk in front of a four track one night again soon and record us some more of her pretty songs.
