JULY 14, 2007 - Still Kicking...

Though this site has stayed fairly quiet for a couple of years now, everything that is listed here is still available and everyone is still writing and playing. I've recently completed my fourth album under the name The Gunshy. It is called There's No Love In This War and will be released on October 16, 2007 on Latest Flame Records. September through November will be filled with solo tours and the first tour with the full band in a couple of years (in October). It feels like I'm a baby at this all again and I'm as excited to be playing songs as I've ever been.

Andrew Bryant will be releasing an ep and full-length on his own Magnolia State Records in the next couple of months. He has some shows coming up in August and plans on many more to follow.

It's been a while since I've talked to Angela, but her band Sybris is doing well. They're touring a lot. Please go see them if you can.

SEPTEMBER 10, 2006 - The Gunshy & Andrew Bryant Touring Together

Andrew Bryant and I will be touring together for five weeks this fall, beginning next week here in Chicago. The dates are on here now. I will have a new ep available on this tour as well. It is entitled My Home, It Shall No Longer Be the Sea and the song of the same name is listenable on Myspace. It will only be available on tour until I return from it, with plans for a digital release in the late Fall getting worked out now.

MARCH 3, 2006 - Here We Go...

I (The Gunshy) will be touring again starting next week. Andrew Bryant is touring in late April as well, and Angela's band Sybris is getting fucking huge. They're selling out shit here in Chicago and playing with all kinds of bands like Fiery Furnaces and..Dashboard Confessional??? That's fucking weird. Angela, give the youngsters some soul. Latest Flame released my latest record, Souls, in December and I'm going to be recording a split 7" with Heligoats (Chris from Troubled Hubble) when I get home from these shows coming up. There will be at least one more Sleep release in 2006.

AUGUST 30, 2005 - Back Again...

Wow, I suck at running a record label. I've been spending all my time finishing a record and haven't done much to this site. That's pretty shitty of me. But I'm getting ready to tour and put out the album. Latest Flame will be releasing SOULS on december 6, but I will have copies available on the upcoming fall tours.

Andrew has been playing shows around Memphis and doing pretty damn well from what I hear. He's coming with me for part of the fall tour I think. Beautiful.

JUNE 16, 2005 - So Sorry...

It has been far too long since an update on here. I'm so sorry about that. Andrew Bryant's The Story Never Told is available now and has been receive some pretty incredible reviews. Once I get my hands on copies I will put them on here to prove it to you. We'll also soon have mp3s from his appearance on Thacker Mountain radio. The man never stops writing songs...I talked to him the other day and he said he's almost done with another album already. damn.

I've been working on finishing up my newest recording as The Gunshy. It should be finished soon and I'll be on the road again in the fall. Thanks for stopping in.

FEBRUARY 11, 2005 - Update on Andrew Bryant LP...

Andrew Bryant's The Story Never Told will be released the first week of March. The album is finished and an mp3 of it is up on here to listen to if you'd like. He'll also be playing a few shows in March in support of the record, followed by many more dates in the upcoming months (after the young boy gets married!). DECEMBER 26, 2004 - New site, Andrew Bryant LP...

Happy holidays and welcome to Sleep's new home. With the exception of a couple of releases for The Gunshy that were sold on past tours, Sleep has been pretty dormant lately. But i'm planning on changing that and we'll have a few new things out soon. You can now order The Gunshy's What Will They Speak of You When You're Gone? and the Classic Beasts EP on here too. And there's some new mp3s.

The next release will be Andrew Bryant's first full-length recording, The Story Never Told. Obviously I'm going to say the record is good...I'm helping him get it out there. But it is honestly one of the best collections of songs I've heard in a long, long time. It'll be out in February and I'll get some mp3s up here as soon as I can. For now, he has some songs from other releases up on his site.

As far as The Gunshy goes, I'm taking a break from touring right now, spending most of my time writing and recording demos for the next album. Last year was pretty crazy and I'm not going to be touring quite as extensively next year. There'll be a split 7" with Heligoats (Chris from Troubled Hubble) that will be out in early Spring and the new full-length will hopefully be ready by Summer.

I just saw Angela for the first time in a while the other day when her band Sybris played at the Metro. I think she's going to record some new songs and when she does you can get them if you want.
